a recipe for disaster…?

you’re overworked, underpaid, and when you do have free time you’re exhausted. Is girlhood only burnout, falling behind, feeling uncultured and outdated? That 500 page book on your night stand? You’ll get to it…one day. Until then, engaging with literature, culture, and community shouldn’t be off the table. Stop feeling guilty about not doing enough, reading enough, writing enough, learning enough. Maybe it’s just not your year, maybe you need to ease back into it, either way–Girl Dinner Digest is here to feed you whatever you can stomach. In a world that’s oversaturated with information, we hope to create bite-sized content for busy b*tches.

Featuring short-form poetry, fiction, non-fiction, pop-culture, book recs, late night snacks, sweet treats, and everything but the kitchen sink, our online magazine aims to highlight the voices of women, nonbinary, queer, and any other creators who resonate with girlhood.

In short: we’re a lit mag posting things that are little. There will be food puns.

FAQs

  • Each month, we’ll have a monthly menu of selected pieces free to read on our website. Pieces will occasionally be featured on our social media, emails, or our home page.

  • Yes! We are solely an online mag, but we have a big appetite and hope to make more artistic, collaborative, and even print-based projects in the future as our little lit mag grows! If you want to help our mag, consider donating!

  • Not necessarily. We aim to have any work we feature, recommend, or discuss be involved with women, nonbinary, and queer writers, themes, and experiences. But we’re not pulling a knife to this—don’t think too hard about it.
