Identity is personal, girlhood is
shared.

For now, let’s talk the basics:
Must be 18+ to submit.
No previously published work online or in print (pretty standard). If you publish with us, and the piece is published elsewhere in the future, please credit Girl Dinner Digest as its first publication.
One submission per genre at a time. GDD is a tiny team, let us get a taste of your work before chowing down. Please wait to hear back from us before submitting again.
Simultaneous subs, just let us know if your piece was accepted elsewhere. (We’re so happy for you!)
Formatting guidelines are genre-based and written below. Please keep your name off of documents and save .docx or .pdf files as
GDD Genre Title.

Submission
Guidelines
How to submit?
We currently take submissions through our google form on our submissions page. Please specify your genre and include a small cover letter about you and your work, including any previous publications. We’d love to know more about you!
Eligibility & Concept:
Our online magazine aims to highlight the voices of women, nonbinary, queer, and any other creators who resonate with girlhood. If you fall into that realm of identity, you can submit to our mag.
We want work that is fresh, rotten, fun, thoughtful, personal, quick-witted, pop-culturally sound, honest, funky, raw, or deep fried, and slathered with voice. Just real people talking about real shit.
Does your work have to center around girlhood? Not necessarily. We hope to have any work we feature, recommend, or discuss be involved with women, nonbinary, and queer writers, themes, and experiences. But we’re not pulling a knife to this—don’t think too hard about it. Are you queer and writing a poem that has nothing to do with your queerness? Please submit. Are you a woman writing a review on a novel by another woman? Please submit. Identity is personal, girlhood is shared.
We will not accept harmful, violent, or bigoted material.
